CNC Lathe Machinist

Granco Clark is searching for a CNC Lathe Machinist for its Belding facility for machining parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Ensure products meet precise specifications in accordance with specifications and per company standards by performing the following duties.

Department: Manufacturing
Shift: Days – Full Time
Supervisor Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience running CNC lathe machines.
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Ability to read basic to complex blueprints.
• Work to tolerances of +-.0005
• Use various types of measuring equipment.
• Work as a team player.
• CNC Machine shop background.
• Experience with HAAS machining centers.
• Ability to perform program edits. 
• Must be willing to work overtime.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma, G.E.D., Certificate; with trade school experience preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Must have Minimum 3-5 years’ experience running CNC lathe machines.

Skill Requirements:

Strong troubleshooting skills and think logically about solutions; mechanical skills to read blueprints and schematics. Demonstrated ability to setup a machine and run the job with minimal supervision. Basic math and computing knowledge. Knowledge of general safety procedures. Ability to meet production requirements as specified   

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds.
