Brake Press Operator

Granco Clark is searching for a Brake Press Operator for its Belding facility to Operate the Press brake Machines and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, punching or sawing of metal products as instructed by supervisors. Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the precise dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

Supervisor Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• 1-2 years of brake press operation experience.
• Must able to set up, and operate press brake.
• Must have knowledge of press tooling and changing tooling. 
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.
• Able to work from blueprints, rough sketches.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand at machines for majority of work day.
• Willing to work overtime.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma, G.E.D., with trade school experience preferred.

Experience Requirements:

1-2 years of brake press operation experience.

Skill Requirements:

Strong troubleshooting skills and think logically about solutions; mechanical skills to read blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals. Knowledge of safety precautions related to occupational hazards, procedures and practices of the trade.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier and stand at machines for majority of a work day.
