Boring Mill Operator

Granco Clark is searching for a Boring Mill Operator for its Belding facility to set up and operate a horizontal boring mill, ensure products meet precise specifications in accordance with specifications and per company standards by performing the following duties.

Department: Manufacturing
Shift: Days – Full Time
Supervisor Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Horizontal Boring Mill Operator.
• Knowledge of machining large welded fabricated parts.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation a must.
• Operate overhead cranes and perform rigging.
• Welding experience not required, but a plus.
• Tool-room experience required.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma, G.E.D., with trade school experience preferred.

Experience Requirements:

2-3 years’ experience as a Horizontal Boring Mill Operator

Skill Requirements:

Must have strong mathematical skills; ability to read and interpret blueprints, good attendance record: good analytical skills; physical ability to handle all tools, equipment as necessary; be able to work overtime as required, and be able to operate overhead crane & hoist systems safely.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier and stand at machines for majority of a work day.
