Aluminum Dubai, to be hosted at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Sheikh Rashid Hall March 29 -31, 2009, is expected to draw 100 exhibitors from 20 countries and attract 3,000 visitors from 15 countries.

In November, industry experts gathered at Extrusion Summit 2008 in Panjim, Goa, India to discuss industry innovations, ideas, issues, and trends. Guest speakers at the two-day conference organized by Metalworld included Granco Clark’s Kevin Nink, Sales Engineer, presenting innovations in Hot Saw Welder and Furnace technology. Century Extrusions Ltd. is the leading Aluminum Extruder in the Indian market. They are adding a 3000 Ton UBE press to their facility in Kharagpur, West Bangal, India.
Granco Clark has been selected to provide all of the handling equipment for this press line. This new system will be configured for air-cooled and water quenched products.
The puller system is the Granco Clark cut-on-the-fly Double Puller. The handling equipment includes a High Pressure Spray Quench for water quench alloys and a three-system air cooling system including cooling over and under the runout, plus undertable fans.
The contract also includes a complete automated transfer belt arrangement, 150 ton de-twist stretcher, and profile sawing system with an automatic saw gauge and discharge/inspection belts.
