MI Metals Chooses Granco Clark Furnace/Shear

Belding, Michigan — MI Metals, one of the largest window and door manufacturers in the U.S., has again chosen Granco Clark to supply equipment to one of its facilities. The new Granco Clark billet heating system will upgrade an existing press line at the company’s Millen, Georgia location. This is the third heating system upgrade MI Metals has entrusted to Granco Clark in the last two years.

The billet heating system consists of a Granco Clark Model 57-35-3 “Hot Jet” Furnace with the ability to handle log lengths up to 24 feet. A Model 6/8 Hot Log Shear will process seven-inch diameter logs and provide the exact length billet required on every press cycle, thus reducing scrap.
