| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ullrich Aluminum Pty Ltd. Chooses Granco Clark to Provide New Handling SystemBelding, Michigan—Ullrich Aluminum Pty Ltd. has selected Granco Clark to provide a complete new extrusion handling system at its facility in the Kuri Kuri Industrial Estate located in Hunter Valley NWS, Australia. The handling system includes a Runout Cooling Duct System along with a High Pressure Spray Quench to provide the greatest rate of heat transfer possible. This will allow for maximum extrusion speed with minimum space requirements. A Granco Clark Double Puller will add even more efficiency, with two puller heads on the same track to deliver a “cut on the fly” capability. A Transfer and Cooling Belt System will integrate with the stretcher to straighten and batch profiles for downstream operations. The 80-ton CVC (Controlled Vertical Crush) Stretcher will provide precise, accurate stretching that will enhance profile quality and minimize scrap. Additionally a Saw and Saw Gauge will provide close-tolerance cutting and allow for maximum throughput with limited manual intervention. Ullrich Aluminum is a pioneer of aluminum manufacturing in the South Pacific. The company, based in Auckland, operates five major factories and 12 branches in New Zealand. Australian operations are based in Sydney, and include a branch network in every state in Australia. - # # # - Founded in 1947, Granco Clark began manufacturing billet furnaces and has evolved into a global, single-source supplier and leading equipment manufacturer to the aluminum extrusion industry. Quality is a key component in every extrusion system the company fabricates—from billet log furnaces and log shears to age ovens and stacking equipment. In 1986, the company introduced the Granco Clark Supervisory Computer System (SCS) to enhance efficiency by developing schedules, loading equipment parameters, tracking faults, and logging production and downtime data. This integrated control system has since developed into SCSExtrude—the next generation nerve center for automated extrusion lines. SCSExtrude helps Granco Clark customers improve extrusion line management and reduces equipment downtime. - # # # -
